Find your account and choose your first module
Orient yourself in Forge Commerce, confirm account access, and choose a useful first task.
Forge Commerce brings storefront improvement, visitor intelligence, prospect research, integrations, and project assets into one operator workspace. Start by selecting the right account and one concrete outcome so the information you review belongs to the business you intend to help.
This guide uses Northgate ESD Packaging, a demonstration business. Its examples illustrate a workflow; they are not customer results or evidence of a live campaign.
Before you begin
You need a Forge sign-in and access to an active account. Your account's enabled modules and your role determine which destinations and actions appear. A missing module does not mean the business has no data, and a visible module does not automatically grant publishing access.
If you work with several businesses, decide which one owns today's task before opening a record. Account selection and storefront selection serve different purposes: the account identifies the business, while the storefront identifies the connected site within that business.
Open the right workspace
- Sign in to Forge Commerce.
- Use the account selector in the sidebar to choose Northgate ESD Packaging when working in the demo.
- Open Overview to orient yourself within that account.
- Choose the module that matches your task from the navigation.
- In AEO & Agentic Storefronts, check the storefront selector before reviewing pages or products.
You are ready when the selected account and, where relevant, storefront match the business and site named in your task. Check this again after switching between clients or following a saved link.
Choose a useful first task

Foundry OMS is controlled rollout/early access. Availability depends on the account's setup. Automations workspace administration is currently restricted to platform operators with the required access; a customer should ask their Forge operator to investigate an integration if that workspace is unavailable.
Know where records belong
The CRM remains the contact system of record. Journeys adds behavior and attribution evidence; Valkyrie prepares research and reviewed changes. Neither module means that every anonymous visitor has become a CRM contact.
Similarly, a draft in Forge is not proof that a storefront changed. Saving, validating, publishing, and verifying the rendered result are separate stages. Projects can also hold draft content without installing it into a website. Keep the final destination in mind whenever you review an asset.
For Northgate, “review the packaging FAQ” could mean editing a Project asset, improving a managed AEO page, or checking buyer questions in Intelligence. Choose the destination based on what you need to change or learn.
If something is missing
A Select an account notice means you need a specific business context. A storefront connection notice means AEO cannot yet inspect that site's records. A disabled module or permission notice needs an account administrator or Forge operator; refreshing repeatedly will not grant access.
When asking for help, include the account name, destination, action you attempted, and visible error text. This gives the operator enough context to distinguish account access from connection health or an empty inventory.
